National study allowances

In Belgium, study allowances are given by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation for the French-speaking part of the country, and by the Flemish Community for the Dutch-speaking part of the country. Please visit their websites for specific requirements.

In France, financial aid for students is run by the CROUS/CNOUS network. Scholarships are granted based mainly on social criteria, depending on the student’s family’s income. Learn more on the CNOUS website.

Province scholarships

In Belgium, certain provinces grant study allowances. This is especially true of the Walloon Brabant province.

Company scholarships

Certain companies give benefits to their employees’ children, including partially covering the cost of their studies. You may contact your parents’ employers to learn more.

International scholarships

If you are a student from a developing country wishing to study in Belgium, or a Belgian student wishing to study abroad, you may be eligible for a cooperation scholarship.
