Succeed in your studies

ULB offers a number of activities and resources that can help you develop a successful strategy before or during your studies.

You can make the transition to higher education easier by attending preparatory courses, summer classes, and information and orientation sessions, even before you start your studies at ULB.

During your studies, many people at ULB are there specifically to help you succeed: support staff in each faculty, (inter-)faculty guidance counsellors, tutors, and experts in academic methodology.

Fulfil your ambitions by gaining a command of the concepts and techniques of human biology with a particular focus on pure or applied medical research aiming at the development of new diagnostic or therapeutic tools.

During your 1st unit you will receive guidance for biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics; you will be given help in adjusting your working methods, overcoming your weaknesses as quickly as possible, solving exercises relating to theoretical notions.

You will have at your disposal:

  • the central medical library, located on the Erasme Campus; a large number of reading and study rooms.

a number of well-equipped laboratories located on the Campus Erasme and on the ULB Biopark at Charleroi.

You will have the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus exchange program organised by the School of Medicine.
