Presentation

In a context where the requirement of quality in health care appears more and more significant (requirement already of a minimum number of patients treated for recognition in certain fields, "health care providers quality law" approved and to enter into practice in 2021, etc.), it therefore appears justified to set up a training combining theory and practice (diagnostics integrated in the clinic and with well-understood theraoeutic purposes) with expert supervision, ultimately leading to the creation of a network (national and European) exchange of experiences also advancing the body of knowledge of these lymphatic pathologies.

Daytime

  • The training adapts to the current situation. Its quality program will therefore be given through virtual classes.
  • Next edition coming from March 2022 to March 2023
Contact us by email : helsci@ulb.be

A presentation of the results of lymphatic imaging integrated into the clinical date of each case, with a discussion of the potential pearls and pitfalls  of these images, their detailed interpretation, their potential implications (diagnostic, therapeutic and - possibly prognostic).

Calendar & registration

Target audience

  • Doctors specializing in imaging ("nuclearists" and radiologists)
  • Surgeons using these images
  • General practitoners and specialists (angiologists, phlebologists, cardiovascular specialists, oncologists,…) prescribing these images

Programme

The training adapts to the current situation. Its quality program will therefore be given through virtual classes.

The training is designed in two stages-periods :

  • a time of theoretical, practical and clinical presentations « ex cathedra », sanctioned by the delivery of a certificate of basic skills

  • a time of practice « on site » by the participants. These will be followed by the "group" of experts. During this period, participants are expected to implement un their practice the knowledge acquired. During this period, they remain in contact with the mentor(s), through tele-conferences and/or loco-regional meetings, during which the examinations carried out "on site" will be discussed, evaluated and if necessary corrected. This period will be sanctioned (after presentation of a work-report) by the delivery of a certificate of practical skills.

This program is subject to adjustments depending on the availability of the participants and stakeholders and after consultation with them
