Course content

  • The course is centred around different topics (e.g. holidays and season, yearly events, my town, my house, education, world of work...). Learning with teaching or authentic material (listening and reading comprehension). Consolidation and extension of basic vocabulary and the basic structures of the Slovene language by means of written or oral exercises (drills, role-plays, interviews, discussion in small groups of 6 up to 8 people). •

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

Reading comprehension : • Can understand texts written in a simple everyday language and related to the students’ world. • Can understand the description of events, feelings and wishes in personal letters. Listening comprehension : Individually: Can understand speeches about familiar topics. In interaction with native speakers: Can understand a conversation with a native speaker about a general topic. Individually: Can give clear descriptions on a range of subjects related to his/her field of interest. Writing : • Can write short, simple notes and messages. • Can write a simple personal letter, for example thanking someone for something. (A2 level of the « Common European Framework for languages »)
