EURAXESS at ULB
ULB is part of the EU initiative EURAXESS, whose purpose is to promote the international mobility of researchers, help them obtain EU funding, and improve their working conditions.
Our concrete actions
ULB uses four EURAXESS tools in order to continuously improve its human resources strategy for researchers, its training and professional development offer, the international visibility of its job offers, and the welcoming of foreign researchers.

In collaboration with its researchers, ULB has developed a human resources strategy for researchers (EURAXESS HRS4R), along with an action plan to improve recruitment, working conditions, career development, and services offered to researchers.
- EURAXESS Career

The ULB EURAXESS Career Development Centre for Researchers coordinates the general training offer for researchers and the support for the professional development of researchers.
- EURAXESS Services

EURAXESS Services is a network of welcoming centres at national level and/or in universities.
ULB has created the International Welcome Desk (EURAXESS Services Centre), whose mission is to provide information and support to international researchers who come to work at ULB, whether for a short or a long period.

As of 2013, ULB publishes its job and fellowships offers on the EURAXESS Jobs platform.
EURAXESS HRS4R
Our human resources strategy for researchers (EURAXESS HRS4R) has been awarded the ‘HR excellence in research’ logo by the European Commission since 2013.
EURAXESS in Europe
The European Union has placed research mobility at the heart of its policy aiming to create a strong European Research Area that promotes a vibrant knowledge-based economy.
The goal of the EURAXESS initiative is to support this policy by structuring the mobility offer and by providing information to researchers about research opportunities in Europe.
