Swarm robotics consists of individual autonomous robots, working together to achieve a specific task. This technology is based on the behaviour of social insects, such as ants, wasps, bees and termites.

Michael Allwright’s project aims to explore the use of swarm robots for autonomously building structures. Within the team of Marco Dorigo (IRIDIA), Michael will investigate how to develop control software for swarms of robots, tasked with building various structures.
