Course content

Definitions and conventions (general anatomy), Elementary anatomy of the locomotor, nerveux, cardio-circulatory, respiratory, digestive, genito-urinary and endocrine systems.

Embryology part : functional aspects of the reproductive systems and gametogenesis, fertilization, the first four weeks of human embryogenesis, including the cellular and molecular bases of embryonic development.

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

To allow future pharmacists the acquisition of basic knowledge on the structure and topography of the human body, to become familiar with anatomical nomenclature and vocabulary, and to provide information requested for the understanding of courses related to biomedical sciences (physiology, human biochemistry, biological sciences, physiopathology and pathology).
