The unit in separated in 3 modules:

Biomaterials (R. Atash, 15h, 1 ECTS):

Parodontology (E. Sauvètre, theory 30 h and 20 h practical work)

Clinical applications of operative dentistry (A. Vanden Abbeele,15 h seminaries)

The unit in separated in 3 modules:

Biomaterials (R. Atash, 15h, 1 ECTS): to acquire the knowledge on dental materials

Parodontology (E. Sauvètre, theory 30 h and 20 h practical work); to acquire the essential knowledge in parodontology

Clinical applications of operative dentistry (A. Vanden Abbeele,15 h seminaries) to understand the clinical applications of operative dentistry

Consukltation of all the corresponding litterature on pubmed for the 3 units.

Contribution to the teaching profile

To acquire basic scientific knoweldge, to be able to perform self-criticism and feed-back, to develop an interest for research and science. To be able to cooperate with other teammembers and to be honest in the interpretation of the results.

Biomaterials and operative dentistry: unique written evaluation

Periodontology: written multiple choice questions

Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)

Both evaluations have the same value, one note under 10 will represent the evaluation of the whole unit.

The validated activities remain validated for the next year when the whole unit is not validated.
