Course content
Wavelet/time-scale analysis versus Fourier/time-frequency analysis. Construction of different types of wavelet bases: periodic discrete-time, discrete-time and continuous-time, including compactly supported Daubechies wavelets. Fast Wavelet Transform and filter banks. Applications in various fields including signal theory and image compression, time series analysis and statistics.
