Written report
a report (apprx 20 pages) and an oral presentation will be evaluated by the thesis advisor.
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
1. The quality of the presentation, for 20% of the total (roughly speaking)
• Presentation should contain clear situation of your thesis in the state-ofthe-art
• Objectives of your thesis (at least one separate slide)
• Point of attention: structure of your talk, accessibility
2. The quality of the bibliography: the reading, the relevance, the completeness, but also the understanding of the material, the initiative taken by the student to explore the literature. Special attention is paid to the correct use of resources, in particular on-line encyclopedia and artificial intelligence. Improper use is considered as fraud.
3. The quality of the report: writing style, accessibility, structure, clarity, language (scientific, but also grammatical), wording, spelling, use of software(LaTeX/word/...), the quality of the illustrations (figures, plots), the examples,...
4. The interaction student-promoter: contacts, attitude (scientific, but also in general)
