Course content
Content Reading and commentary of a large choice of texts (technical and literary) illstrating the main aspects of Vulgar Latin, from Antiquity to the Middle Ages.Reading and commentary on various ancient Latin texts, analysing their various components (linguistic, stylistic, literary, cultural). Regular practice of Latin.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To reach overall control of the studied language; to take into account the diachronic evolutions in the analysis of languages, literatures, and cultures. To develop tools for the analysis and interpretation of the texts.

Assessment oral evaluation on the basis of the texts seen in class (Vulgar Latin)written exam and oral tests (ancient Latin)
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
Vulgar Latin: one quarter of the final note.Ancient Latin: three quarters of the final note.Any failure in one of these two parts results in the necessity of retaking the corresponding exam.
