Course content
Based on “real” databases, to carry out the complete process of design, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results according to an epidemiological objective.
Two series of exercise will be given. The students will be guided through the different steps of the development during the period of in-class sessions (24 hours).

To elaborate, apply and appraise epidemiological and statistical methods in Public Health.

- Practical exercises in biostatistics and epidemiology, including intermediate individual and in-group works.

Some courses will take place at the UCLouvain campus (Woluwe-St-Lambert).
Use of artificial intelligence:
- Students are asked to always disclose the use of AI tools (ChatGPT®, Grammarly®, Deepl®…) and specify the exact tasks for which they were used.
- Using AI to write entire sections of the report (multiple sentences) including literature references is prohibited.
- Unauthorized use will be identified based on typical AI writing patterns, fabricated references, and verification of the student’s knowledge during the oral defence.
- If such use is detected, the grade is “0”. The MPHM jury and the ESP dean will be informed. In cases of recurrence or multiple infractions, a disciplinary procedure is initiated.
- Plagiarism, detected by universityapproved software, is forbidden. The penalty is the same as above.

One mark is given for both report and oral presentation.
