Course content

This course introduces the history of Japanese performing arts, from their origins to the present, with a focus on the cultural and historical context of each form.

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

The aim of this course is to enable students to identify the main forms of Japanese theatre and to analyze their historical evolution.
