Course content
Electrodynamics. Transmission lines. Varying states. Emitting and receiving waves. Antennas. Electromagnetic waves properties. Dielectric and conductive mediums. Reflection, transmission and diffraction of waves. Guided propagation.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Understand how Maxwell equations under their most general form imply the existence of electromagnetic waves and understand their main properties. Understand the theory of transmission lines and its implications in telecommunications and electronics. Understand how to emit and receive waves in practice. Understand how waves interact with various transmission mediums.
