Course content

Application of philological method to a critical analysis of problems linked to editing, translating, commenting, explaining and understanding Greek texts.

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

Thorough command of Greek language and of philological method as applied to Greek texts.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Ex-cathedra speeches, individual exercises, workshops, depending on topics and times. Given the number of students, active participation is strongly encouraged, as well as spontaneous contributions and questions.

Contribution to the teaching profile

Mastering specialized knowledge in languages, literatures and cultures, in particular understanding and mastering the concepts specific to the different fields of study of Greek language and literature. Implementing its achievements critically and innovating in order to carry out research independently. Implement the capacities of analysis, synthesis, contextualization, rigor, coherence.
