Course content

The course includes a short series of lectures introducing a general research theme (which changes each year). Research methodology is examined practically by means of the common reading in class of an academic article that students have to review and comment on. Exercices consist in the writing of a personal term paper related to the general theme of the seminar and participation in class discussions.

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

To familiarize students with the main research topics in their field of study and to enable them to acquire the methodology needed to undertake research and analytical study in South American archaeology
