Course content
Practical course designed to familiarize students with research methods and historical criticism from original case studies. The stress will be laid on the use of sources and bibliographic tools.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To familiarize the students with the methods of research and historical criticism. The encyclopedia of Modern Times is integrated in the seminar. This course implies personal work from the student (library searches, examinations of sources, analysis of texts and drafting of a summary report about this work).

Evaluation based on active participation in class and on written papers.
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
The evaluation will be based on a paper for the encyclopedia and a paper for the seminar. We must get at least half the points for each paper.
