Course content
It deals successively with: the history of the concept of economic anthropology; the analysis of the main types of traditional economic systems; the characteristics of currencies in contrast to western money; the impact of market economy on traditional economies; major aspects of cultural technology.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
The goal of Economic Anthropology is to make one aware of the social and cultural side of economic problems in the Third-World.
