Langue portugaise I / Língua Portuguesa I

In this course, students work on morphology (nouns, pronouns, adjectives, prepositions, verbs – Present and Past Tense, , Imperative and Imperfect of the Indicative) and elementary syntax of the Portuguese language, as well as the relations between phonetics and orthography.

Knowledge of the language is developed in conjunction with the skills of oral and written comprehension and expression. Students will be able to understand the general meaning of texts on common themes and to express themselves on these topics.

To familiarize the student with the basic structures of the Portuguese language (European standard), so that he/she can understand and use simple statements and colloquial and everyday expressions and communicate to meet concrete needs in various contexts by situating oneself in the present, past and future (level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

The final grade is the average of the evaluation elements, these are not independent parts and grade is not retained for the following year in the event of failure.

For those who do not pass the exam in the 1st session: the evaluation elements will be the same in the 2nd session (the proposed activities must be completed before the end of the semester)

Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)

- Completion of the proposed tasks (part 1 - 20%)

- Exam composed of written and oral part (part 2 - 80%)
