* Basics in epidemiological methods: general overview; study designs; descriptive indicators; measures of association; standardization; attributable fraction of the risk.
* Effect modification, confounding and stratified analysis; biases and validity; causality criteria.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To understand, apply and appraise methods used in epidemiology
Teaching methods and learning activities
Alternating lectures, practices, and students’ presentations.
Some parts will be given online (pre-recorded lessons), and include Multiple Choice Questionnaire (MCQ).

* Multiple-choice questionnaires between two sessions.
* One written exam (around 3 hours).
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
The course mark is computed with 10% for the continuous evaluation (MCQ) and 90% for the written exam.
When the first session course mark is <10/20, points coming from the MCQ will be reported at the 2nd session. The 2nd session written exam will still be 90% of the mark.
