Theory of stochastic processes; thermodynamics of small systems; nonequilibrium fluctuation relations; mechanochemical coupling; the FoF1-ATPase rotary molecular motor; the linear molecular motors myosin-actin, kinesin-microtubule, and dynein-microtubule; the processes of genetic information transmission.

The purpose of the course is to give an overview of current knowledge on molecular motors and their modeling methods.
