In this course we will :
- Explore the broad domain of International Human Resources and Communication Management based on concrete and recent case studies, best practices and research.
- Focus on acquiring practical knowledge and skills to manage effectively people across borders, cultures and time zones.
- Discuss the impact of digitalization on the international business context and the new ways of working and management.
- Learn how to define a global Human Resources & Communications strategy while taking into account local differences and specificity.
Objectifs (et/ou acquis d'apprentissages spécifiques)
In this course you will learn :
- How do you organise Human Resources, Communications and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) in a multi-national and increasingly digital context.
- How to engage a global workforce, drive Diversity & Inclusion and ESG and foster Well-Being in an International Multi-Cultural environment.
- How to stimulate a common Corporate Culture, Identity and Values while respecting local differences and specificity.
- The differences in the way to manage Performance in different locations.
- The Key Skills People Managers need to have to manage multi-cultural teams.
- How to drive common Leadership Behaviours and a Global Leadership Talent Pipeline.
- How to manage Social Partners in an International context and the differences between countries.
- How do you organise Recruitment in an International Labour Market and cross border.
- Career Development & Internal Mobility : how to detect and develop talent across locations and not just in the Headquarters.
- How to design and implement a global consistent Reward & Recognition model while respecting local specificity.
- Why does HR Analytics & Reporting play a pivotal role in an HR data-driven decision making process. Why is it a critical tool in defining Local and Global trends.
- The importance of an effective cross-cultural Corporate Communication as a key driver of a successful IHRM.

- Theoretical frameworks
- Practical business cases
- Group discussions and group work
- Best practices and benchmarks
Some parts of this course will require pre-reading and/or preparatory work.

Group work :
- 4 groups of approximately 5 people
- Every group selects one topic after the first session
- Every group will receive the support of an HR and Communications expert throughout the exercise
- Every group will present the outcome of their collaboration and work in a written paper
