Contenu du cours
The value of the course hinges on the active participation of each student. It will be mostly 'hands-on' that is, based on in-class case study and discussions, in-class exercises, and in-class presentations. Lectures will complement the interactive parts of the sessions. The curriculum is built along a double line of progression: the error management cycle, and increasing case complexity.
Objectifs (et/ou acquis d'apprentissages spécifiques)
This course stands at crossroads of the disciplines of Strategy and OB/Leadership with occasional inroads in Marketing and Finance. Students should a) draw insights on the pervasiveness of potential organizational errors, why and how they occur; b) develop reflexes on how to detect, acknowledge and correct organizational errors; and c) build skills for analyzing cases of errors and present personal work in an attractive yet rigorous manner.
