Méthodes d'enseignement et activités d'apprentissages
In this course students learn about interpersonal communication in organisations through five sources:
- Theoretical lectures
- Book chapters and (scientific) articles
- Peer discussions and presentations
- Role-plays and case analyses
- Qualitative analysis of a negotiation exercise
This is an interactive course. In 8 x 3h course lessons the instructor provides theoretical content and invites students to directly apply this content to an organisational issue. Students will be asked to hand in short assignments throughout the semester to practice applying theory and concepts to real world cases; The assignments are not mandatory but recommended as they encourage timely preparation for the exam.
Halfway the course, teams of 4 students will roleplay a complex negotiation, and write a collective report on this negotiation, through the lens of interpersonal communication. More information about the group project will be provided in due time on Université Virtuelle.
Examination:
Written exam, MCQ 40%
Group project 40%
Participation 20%
